RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL APPROVING USE OF
OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$158,715.57 FOR AVOID PROGRAM OUTREACH COORDINATION
Whereas, the State of California Business, Transportation and Housing Agency,
Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) granted the City of San Rafael $158,715.57 in
grant funds; and,
Whereas, this grant money may be spent to pay costs associated with
comprehensive AVOID program outreach coordination; and,
Whereas, The tmd Group will coordinate the website development and plan and
present the regional conferences under a subcontract with the City of San Rafael
not to exceed $142,750.00; and,
Whereas, the California Highway Patrol, OTS, SRPD and The tmd Group will
form an advisory group to develop a system to share materials and develop a
self-supporting program for sales of materials; and,
Whereas, the City Council must approve use of the grant funds to begin the
Process of grant approval;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the use
Of $158,715.57 for comprehensive AVOID program outreach coordination.
I, Jeanne M. Leoncini, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the San Rafael City Council meeting held on the 6th day of December
2004 by the following vote, to wit:
